Hi, welcome!

My name is Jão Canola and I am a comic book colorist. Creating a comic book is a collaborative effort that involves different stages and professionals, and my contribution to this process is bringing the narrative to life through coloring. Light, atmosphere, and carefully considered palettes are elements I use to strengthen the narrative and convey emotions such as suspense, drama, action, and joy. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with publishers and companies such as Marvel Comics, DC Comics, PlayStation/Sony, Dark Horse Comics, Mad Cave Studios, Oni Press, IDW Publishing, BOOM! Studios, Titan Comics, Heroic Signatures, Delcourt/Soleil, among others. With a focus on visual storytelling, I approach each page with the goal of enhancing the artwork, reinforcing the atmosphere of each scene, and creating a visual experience that is always in service of the story.
